Get married on a beach in Lake Garda

Lake Garda, taken as a whole, represents the 3rd Italian tourist resort, its beaches are chosen by millions of people every year. We talk about coasts and shores, of sand and rock, with clear water and fabulous views: impossible not to fall in love!

Celebrating a beach wedding on Lake Garda is possible thanks to a decree that allows municipalities to legally celebrate marriage in outdoor locations, including beaches and coasts. Alternatively you can also think of a symbolic ceremony, customized to your tastes and needs.

Recommended beaches for the wedding in Lake Garda

The possibilities are definitely many, like the enchanting beaches that overlook the lake. Let’s see some of the most beautiful ones!

At the end of the Sirmione peninsula, Giamaica beach is among the most charming of the lake. Until a few years ago, it was an almost secret place, while today it is also highly sought after for photos and stories to post on social media. It is located a stone’s throw from the Grotte di Catullo, in the historic center and therefore reachable only on foot. Clear water and fabulous views make it the ideal backdrop for celebrating the wedding in Sirmione.

Lido di Fasano

In Gardone Riviera area there is Lido di Fasano, a pebble beach less than a kilometer from the town center and the historic rowing club. Awarded with the “Blue Flag” for the quality of its waters, it is perfect for those who want to celebrate the rite on the beach and continue the party on the lake, choosing among the many event locations placed nearby. Torre San Marco is particularly close, we already talked about it in our previous article on the best locations for weddings in Lake Garda.

Lido dei Limoni

The Lido dei Limoni in Gargnano is equipped with a convenient parking area for guests and for the arrival of the couple. It is a beautiful free beach that is usually equipped with sunbeds and chairs, umbrellas and pedal boats.

Very popular with young people, even for music nights when the sun goes down. It can be the magical setting of an original and amusing marriage, or used only for the civil ceremony. Near is in fact Villa Bettoni, another location of which we have spoken about here.

Spiaggia dei Pini

Couples who prefer to get married in Riva del Garda, the famous town of Alto Garda, can organize the civil ceremony at the Spiaggia dei Pini. The beach is frequented above all by young people, attracted by its shingle of gravel and pebbles but with large portions of green. It is the perfect place to take wonderful photos of your best day in the company of friends and closest relatives. Between the spectacle of the lake and the mountains, nothing is missing for a truly unforgettable wedding.

Spiaggia La Quercia

On the Veneto side of Lake Garda, near Lazise there is Spiaggia La Quercia, perfect if you are looking for a chance to get married on the sand. It is in fact one of the few beaches overlooking the lake without rocks and which also boasts a wonderful panorama. The crystal clear waters are framed by centuries-old plants, ideal shelter when the sun becomes too intense, a possibility that is certainly appreciated by all the guests. To continue the party, nearby is the Dogana Veneta, also included in our personal selection of the recommended wedding venues in Lake Garda.
